A Justus Torsutsey early goal was enough for WAFA SC to edge Bibiani GoldStars for a 1-0 win on match-day 15 of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League (GPL).
The striker headed home a cross from left-back John Tedeku just two minutes into the game for the Academy Boys at their Sogakope home grounds on Sunday.
That was the only goal the game could produce as WAFA held out for their fourth win of the season from 15 games.
The victory ensures coach Guillermo Zaragoza’s side continue their unbeaten streak in five games, winning two and drawing three of those games.
WAFA sit 14th on the league log with 17 points while GoldStars are 15th with 16 points.
Next up for WAFA is a trip to Techiman to take on Eleven Wonders next Sunday while GoldStars host Aduana FC the same day.
