Black Maidens to host Morocco in back-to-back friendlies

The Ghana U-17 female national team – Black Maidens – will next month, play two international friendly matches with Morocco.

Accra has been chosen to host both games on February 9 and 12, according to the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The games will serve as preparatory opportunities for coach Baba Nuhu who is shaping up his team to participate in the African qualifiers to the 2022 Fifa Under-17 Women’s World Cup which begins the following month – March.

Ghana – the Azerbaijan 2012 bronze winners – will begin its quest for a record 7th Fifa U-17 Women’s World Cup with a second-round clash against Senegal.

The Fifa U-17 Women’s World Cup will be hosted by India, which would have hosted the 2020 edition before it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The competition will be held from October 11-30, 2022.
