Two of Ghana’s rising stars in Europe – Khalid Abdul Mumin Suleman and Salis Abdul Samed – have earned first-time call-ups to the Black Stars ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) finals in Cameroon.
On Tuesday, coach Milovan Rajevac included the duo in his 30-man provisional squad set to set up a 17-day training camp in Doha, Qatar from Wednesday, December 22.

Giant defender Mumin has been featuring regularly for Vitoria Guimaraes this season. The centre-back has played 12 out of 15 league games for the Portuguese side.
Salis Samed is a 21-year-old midfielder for Clermont Foot. This season, he has featured 17 times for his side who are currently lying 16th in the French Ligue 1.
Milovan Rajevac will submit his final squad for the Afcon to Caf on December 30.
The Black Stars are placed in Group C of the Cameroon 2021 Afcon alongside Morocco, Gabon and Comoros.
