LadyStrikers and Kumasi Sports Academy played to a 1-1 draw in their second Group B match at the ongoing Women’s Premier Cup Sunday morning.
Both sides came into the clash at McDan La Town Park with wins from their opening matches.
It was forward Gladys Amfobea who drew first blood by scoring for the successive game for LadyStrikers.
The team from Central Region had more chances to increase their lead but failed.
And Kumasi Sports Academy punished them with a Diana Afriyie equalizer in first-half stoppage time. It was Diana’s third goal in two games.
Neither side was able to add to the scoreline in the second half despite the many opportunities that came through.
Both Kumasi Sports Academy and LadyStrikers are locked on four points after two matches. The former occupy top spot with superior goal difference.
Kumasi Sports Academy captain was named Woman-of-the-Match.

The second game of the day between AshTown Ladies and Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies is scheduled tfor 2 pm.
