Partey fit to start for Arsenal against Liverpool at Anfield

Ghana international, Thomas Partey is fit and available for Arsenal’s trip to Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday.

The 28-year-old midfielder missed the last match prior to the international break, against Watford, after complaining of a tight groin.

As a result, Partey did not join up with the Black Stars squad over the break for World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa, in order to work on his fitness and return to match action.

Arsenal have now been handed a boost with Partey declared fit and available to start at Anfield.

The club on Thursday announced in a statement that only Granit Xhaka and Sead Kolasinac are unavailable for this weekend’s fixture.

Thomas Partey had previously been a fixture in Mikel Arteta’s team, starting the last six Premier League matches.
