Eleven Wonders, Medeama share points at Techiman

Eleven Wonders and Medeama shared the spoils with a goalless draw on match-week three of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League at the Ohene Ameyaw Park.

Both sides, currently struggling in the league, headed into their third game in search of their first win this season

Heading into the match-week three fixture, Medeama drew against Gold Stars and Wonders held Chelsea at Berekum.

But both sides, especially Medeama, failed to register a goal despite the numerous chances that fell their way in the first half.

Skipper Joseph Tetteh Zutah’s intelligent lob could only find the woodwork in the closing stages of the half.

After the break, Wonders looked stronger in midfield in the early stages but upfront they gave a poor account of themselves.

Abass Mohammed nearly registered the lead for the Sure lads but he missed by inches.

Heading to the latter stages, it was Medeama who seemed like grabbing the opener but forwards, Prince Opoku Agyemang who was introduced into the game as well as Ahmed Toure failed to grab the needed goal.

Both sides will head into match-week four with immense pressure from their fans.

Medeama gaffer Ignatius Osei Fosu is rumoured to exit the club and their game against Karela United must be a turning point in results.

On the other hand, Yaw Acheampong must get his team firing against Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
