Ghana’s Benjamin Tetteh scored as Yeni Malatyaspor travelled to beat Adana Demirspor to end a five-match winless streak in the Turkish Super Lig Saturday.
The striker – who enjoyed some minutes during his debut outing with the Black Stars against Zimbabwe in back-to-back World Cup qualifying games – opened the scoring in a 2-0 match-day 9 victory at Yeni Adana Stadyumu.
Tetteh welcomed new coach Marius Sumudica with his goal – the fourth in the ongoing 2021/22 league campaign – in the 36th minute.
Yeni Malatyaspor’s third win of the season was cemented in the 55th minute courtesy of an own goal by Ivorian centre-back Simon Deli.
Tetteh played for 78 minutes before making way for DR Congo striker Walter Bwalya.
Yeni Malatyaspor currently occupy 16th position in the Turkish Super Lig standings with nine points.
