Attacker Stephen Amankona has expressed his gratitude to the stakeholders of Berekum Chelsea after securing his transfer to Asante Kotoko.
The 21-year-old is just an official announcement away from the camp of the Porcupine Warriors who landed his services for a transfer fee of GH¢150,000 last week.
Amankona signed a three-year contract and is preparing to link up with his new teammates at their pre-season training camp in Dubai in the coming days.
While waiting for his official announcement as a Kotoko player, the wing-forward, who started his football journey in Jinijini, has thanked the management of the 2011 Ghana Premier League champions for their unflinching supports towards his career.
“I am grateful to my parents, to my manager, and God sent father, Obed Nana Nketiah, Oduro Sarfo, Francis Adjei, Fredua Christopher, entire technical team and playing body of Berekum Chelsea, the good people of Berekum Jinijini,” Amankona posted on Facebook.
“Finally, I embrace the new challenge, God be my helper. The land and the good people of Kumasi be good to me. Thank you.
“Krobea here I come, together we raise the Asante Kotoko flag higher,” he added.
