DOL Super Cup: Tema Youth, Skyy FC both advance to semis after 1-1 draw

Tema Youth and Skyy FC both progressed to the semifinals of the maiden Division One League (DOL) Super Cup after playing out a 1-1 draw in their final Group A clash Sunday.

The Harbour Boys topped the group with 7 points with Skyy also progressing as runners-up with 5 points.

Skyy, the team from Daboase, got the go-ahead goal as early as the third minute through Ebenezer Mamatah.

But the resilient Tema Youth side had to dig deep in order to preserve their unbeaten record.

Substitute Emmanuel Owusu ensured that by grabbing the equalizer with a drive from distance inside three minutes added time.

In the other simultaneous kickoff group match, Bofoakwa Tano ensured they bowed out of the competition with a win by beating Bibiani Gold Stars 2-1 at McDan La Town Park.

Attention shifts to the Group B deciders on Monday where  Accra Lions take on RTU at McDan La Town Park and FC Samartex facing off with Berekum Arsenal at the Madina AstroTurf. Both games kick off simultaneously at 14:00 GMT.
