Day Two of the maiden Division One League Super Cup produced 8 goals when Group B took centre stage on Thursday.
Accra Lions set the tone in the morning fixture with a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over FC Samartex 1996 at the Madina AstroTurf.
The Timbers unsettled the capital-based club with the opening goal through Emmanuel Adu.
Accra Lions, however, pegged back with a Christopher Acheampong goal in the minute before going on to snatch the victory through Evans Eenee.
The afternoon fixture produced a five-goal fest with Real Tamale United (RTU) securing all three points at the expense of Berekum Arsenals.
RTU scored the opener after 6 minutes through Mohammed Yakubu. But Arsenals responded and netted twice via Amos Yeboah and Ebenezer Aboagye in the 10th and 40th minutes to lead 2-1 by halftime.
The second half had RTU staging a comeback and completing it. Abdul Fataw Sayibu made it 2-2 with an incredible strike from the right wing in the 54th minute before Roland Frimpong came off the bench to net in the 71st minute and snatch victory for ‘Wey Una’
RTU go top of Group B with superior goals scored but share the same points – 3 with Accra Lions after their respective opening matches.
