Giants Asante Kotoko have officially confirmed their squad for the 2021/22 football season.
The new campaign kick-starts with the Ghana Premier League (GPL) at 6 pm on Friday, October 29 with an opening fixture between Accra Lions FC and Elmina Sharks at the Accra Sports Stadium.
And Kotoko – who commence their season also at the same venue as guests to Dreams FC on Saturday – have detailed the composition of their registered players and squad numbers.
The Porcupine Warriors registered 31 players for the new campaign. The player list includes 16 new signings, five of which are U-19 players.
Two Cameroonian strikers – Georges Mfegue and Franck Thierry Etouga Mbella – and 14 indigenes namely; Richmond Lamptey, Maxwell Agyemang, Clinton Opoku, Richard Boadu, Samuel Appiah, Samuel Boateng, Isaac Oppong, Augustine Agyapong, Sheriff Mohammed, Dickson Afoakwa, Joseph Amoako, Stephen Amankona, Charles Owusu and Abdul Rafiu Yakubu are the new signings by the record league champions.

Asante Kotoko will be hoping to win the Ghana Premier League this time around after missing out last season.
