2022 Women’s AfconQ: Ivorian Zomadre Kore to referee Ghana vs Nigeria in Accra

Fifa referee from Cote d’Ivoire, Zomadre Kore has been appointed to take charge of the second leg between Ghana and Nigeria in the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers.

The Black Queens play hosts to the Super Falcons at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 24, 2021, four days after the reigning African champions host the first leg in Lagos.

And the Confederation of African Football (Caf) has selected the Ivorian -who has been an international since 2013 – as centre referee for the epic clash.

Kore will be guided on the lines by compatriots Kossonoux Denise Akoua (Assistant I) and Ndeko Edwige Appia (Assistant II).

The fourth official is Zongbossi Beatrice Béatrice Gouchoedou from Benin.

Latré-Kayi Edzona LawsonHogban from Togo will serve as the Match Commissioner while Ghana’s Christiana Baah works as COVID-19 Officer.

Kickoff for the game is 16:00 GMT.

Nigeria hold a 2-0 advantage from the first leg played in Lagos on Wednesday.

The aggregate winner advances to face that of the clash between Niger and Cote d’Ivoire in the final round of the qualifying series to the Morocco 2022 Women’s Afcon.
