Ghana forward Joel Fameyeh struck on his return to club duty as FC Orenburg hammered FC KamAZ away in the Russian Football National League (FNL) Saturday afternoon.
The 24-year-old was away on international duty with Ghana who played Ethiopia and South Africa, a match he enjoyed a starting berth in the 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifiers.
But Fameyeh who joined his teammates at the airport right upon returning from Accra ensured he was among the goals in the match-day 10 fixture which ended 4-0 at KamAZ Stadium.
Quick-fire goals from Nikolai Prudnikov and Arshak Koryan in the 24th and 25th minutes gave the visitors a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Fameyeh then brilliantly made it 3-0 with his fifth goal of the season just seven minutes into the second half.
Right-winger Koryan returned to the scoresheet by registering his brace in the 76th minute.
Fameyeh was substituted 10 minutes from time. He was replaced by Senegalese forward Abdoulaye Diallo
FC Orenburg stay second in the Russian second-tier league table with 22 points, two behind leaders Torpedo Moscow who were held 2-2 at home by Fakel.
