Karela United have beaten Ghana Premier League rivals Legon Cities to the signing of striker Samuel Atta Kumi.
The 22-year-old, about three weeks ago, was widely reported to have been snared by the mega-rich Royals.
However, on Wednesday, September 8, Aiyinase-based Karela sprang a surprise with the announcement of Attah Kumi’s signing from Phar Rangers.
In a teasing post via the club’s official Twitter handle, Karela accompanied the announcement of the goal poacher with a request for a test match from “dear friends” Legon Cities.

Attah Kumi scored 12 goals in 18 games for Phar Rangers before the club’s demotion from the Division One League during the 2020/21 season.
He becomes the first signing under new head coach Kobby Mensah.
