Asante Kotoko might beef up their squad with 5 to 10 players ahead of the new league season, according to Chief Executive Nana Yaw Amponsah.
The Porcupines had a poor campaign, finishing second in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League and failing to win the FA Cup.
Kotoko are reportedly preparing to part ways with head coach Mariano Barreto before the start of the new campaign along with a few players.
In an interview with Starr FM, the club’s CEO revealed the number of signings they plan to make for the upcoming challenge.
“Definitely, some players will be leaving. We have contracts that will end soon and we don’t plan engaging these players again.
“We have a plan to sign five to ten players because of the number of departures and of course, to beef up our squad for next season,” Yaw Amponsah stated.
The 2021/22 Ghana Premier League kicks off on October 29.
