Hearts of Oak Board Chairman, Togbe Afede XIV has revealed that the club is on the verge of brokering a partnership agreement with two clubs from different continents.

Speaking at a unique unveiling of the club’s new Umbro kits for the upcoming 2021/22 season Thursday night, the majority shareholder teased the creation of a Common Value Club Alliance featuring these three clubs.

Togbe Afede said from discussions, Hearts is teaming up with an European club and another from the USA in a triangular partnership that will be mutually beneficial.

The partnership would help raise the technical, educational and community involvement of the club.

“This is a unique alliance that features clubs from three different continents.

“We will be exchanging knowledge and expertise in coaching, scouting and of course playing.

“It will involve experts from Hearts of Oak travelling to Europe and America and experts from those continents coming to Accra,” the Board Chairman stated.

Concerning education, Togbe Afede stressed the need for the Hearts Academy to produce complete footballers. He said the partnership would allow Hearts youth players to study abroad which would set them up for life after football.

Togbe Afede also stressed that Hearts of Oak was more than a football club. As an important part of the history of Accra, he expected the club to take a stronger role in improving the community.
