Europa Conference League: Substitute Kamaldeen scores winner for Stade Rennais

Kamaldeen Sulemana proved the match-winner for 10-man Stade Rennais as the French side came from behind to beat Vitesse Arnhem 2-1 away in the Uefa Europa Conference League Thursday night.

The 19-yea-old Ghana winger started the second Group G game at Gelredome from the bench. He came on in a double substitution at the start of the second half before going on to find the back of the net.

Vitesse took the lead after half an hour through Maximilian Wittek who scored with an excellent strike.

The hosts remained ahead until the 54th minute when Markus Schubert brought down Loum Tchaouna and Guirassy made it 1-1 from the penalty spot.

Kamaldeen then made it 2-1 for Rennais with a low strike in the 70th minute.

Three minutes after gaining the lead, Stade Rennais were reduced to ten men with Loïc Badé receiving his second yellow card.

Stade Rennais go four points after two matches and next face Slovenian side NŠ Mura who were thrashed 5-1 by Tottenham also on Thursday.

Kamaldeen Sulemana now has four goals in 11 games since joining Stade Rennais in the summer.
