The maiden edition of the 8-club Division One League (DOL) Super Cup is finally set to come off from October 13-23, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced.
Launched in August, the new off-season competition for top teams drawn from the three zones at the end of the Division One League season, was to kick off September 19 at Prampram.
But there have been changes – a new October date as well as venues now switched to the Madina AstroTurf and McDan La Town Park.
Newly promoted Premier League sides Real Tamale United, Bibiani Gold Stars and Accra Lions, three second-placed teams – Tano Bofoakwa, Skyy FC and Tema Youth as well as two third best-placed teams Berekum Arsenals and FC Samartex 1996 to compete for the title.
The clubs have been drawn into two groups – A and B.
Group A – Bibiani Gold Stars, Skyy FC, Tano Bofoakwa Tano, Tema Youth
Group B – Accra Lions, Real Tamale United, Berekum Arsenals, FC Samartex
