VIDEO: Kelvin Yeboah nets in Sturm Graz away win

Black Stars new boy, Kelvin Yeboah was on target in the Austrian Bundesliga for SK Sturm Graz days after receiving his first Ghana senior call-up.

Sturm Graz continued their fine start to the 2021/22 season by travelling to beat LASK Linz 3-1 in a match-day four fixture at Raiffeisen Arena Stadium on Sunday.

After a barren opening half, Yeboah – who was handed a starting berth – broke the deadlock in the 66th minute. The 21-year-old stayed cool and lifted the ball over the approaching LASK goalkeeper.

Yeboah was, however, substituted 11 minutes after scoring his third goal of the. campaign.

Manprit Sarkaria extended the lead to 2-0 in the 83rd with the hosts pulling one back through Peter Michorl two minutes later.

Sarkaria then rounded up the 3-1 away victory with another strike four minutes into additional time.

Kelvin Yeboah is part of Ghana’s 30-man provisional squad for the start of the African qualifiers to the 2022 Fifa World Cup in September.

Ghana open their campaign in Group G first at home to Ethiopia and then South Africa away on September 3 and 6 respectively.
