Rijeka lead the 2021/22 Croatian Football First League with 7 points after three games.
Abass, the Mainz 05 loanee, was not involved in the opening two fixtures of the season, was handed a starting berth while versatile former WAFA SC attacker Prince Ampem dropped to the bench for the first time.
It was a five-goal fest in the opening 45 minutes which saw Abass bagging his brace with identical long-range drives in the 23rd and 38th minutes.
His two goals – at each time – cancelled out leads taken by Dinamo which came through Dino Perić and Lovro Majer in the 9th and 32nd minutes respectively
