Official: Coaches Yaw Preko and Yaw Acheampong leave Medeama

Two-time FA Cup winners, Medeama Sporting Club have confirmed the departure of coaches Yaw Preko and Yaw Acheampong following the end of their short-term contracts.

The two tacticians were appointed until the end of the recently ended 2020/21 season as replacements for Samuel Boadu and Hamzah Obeng who left to join champions Hearts of Oak

After placing sixth in the Ghana Premier League and a semifinal finish in the MTN FA Cup, the Mauve and Yellows refused to extend their stay

“We would like to thank coaches Yaw Preko and Yaw Acheampong for successfully ending their contracts with the club.

“We thank them for their services and wish them well,” the club announced via their socials Friday.

Medeama SC will in the coming days make new appointments. Already four coaches – Ignatius Osei-Fosu, Evans Adotey, Prosper Narteh Ogum and Annor Walker – have in recent days been linked to the job.
