Jordi Osei-Tutu leaves Arsenal for third loan spell

Premier League giants, Arsenal have yet again farmed out Ghanaian-born English defender Jordi Osei-Tutu.

The right-back joins Nottingham Forest in the Championship for the entire 2021/22 season.

This is the third loan outing for the 22-year-old since his promotion to the Arsenal U-23s.

Osei-Tutu said: “I’m delighted to sign for such a historic club and I can’t wait to see the fans for the first time.

“Everything about the club attracted me and the manager, Chris Hughton, is great and I’m excited to get started.

“It’s really important for me to get my head down now and it’s good to know that I’m here for a full season and I want to show everyone what I can do.

“I know what to expect in the division, it’s a very tough and physical league but I’m ready for the challenge ahead.”

Osei-Tutu has yet to make a competitive first-team appearance for Arsenal but impressed during a loan spell at German side VfL Bochum two seasons ago.

Last season, he went out on loan at Cardiff City, a spell that was disrupted by a serious hamstring injury in October. He returned to Arsenal this summer with just 9 games under his belt.

Jordi Osei-Tutu has been captaining the Arsenal U-23s in pre-season but with no hopes of breaking into Mikel Arteta’s first-team right now, he moves out once more. He has the likes of Calum Chambers, Hector Bellerín, Cedric Soares and even Ainsley Maitland-Niles ahead of him in the pecking order.
