Ghana trio Lomotey, Esso and Opoku on target in Algerian Ligue 1

Ghanaian attackers Daniel Lomotey, Joseph Esso and Kwame Opoku were on target for their respective clubs on match-day 35 of the 2020/21 Algerian Ligue 1 Monday night.

It was a memorable night for the former Ghana Premier League attackers in the North African country.

Former Dreams FC attacker Joseph Esso scored the opening goal for MC Alger when they thumped Bordj Bou Arreridj by 3-0 at home. He scored in the second minute of the game.

ES Sétif were unplayable against Baskri at home as they defeated them by 4-0. Former WAFA striker Daniel Lomotey scored the fourth goal in the 90th minutes to complete the mauling.

USM Algers won it late against Paradou thanks to Kwame Opoku’s stoppage-time header. The win keeps their Confederation Cup qualification hopes alive.

All three attackers joined the Algerian top-flight from the Ghana Premier League in the just-ended season.
