Free-agent Agyenim Boateng becomes first signing for Hearts

League champions Hearts of Oak have made Isaac Agyenim Boateng their first new signing ahead of the 2021/22 season.

The forward arrives in a free agent move after parting ways with fellow Ghana Premier League side Medeama in May.

Agyenim made 14 appearances for the Mauve and Yellows before his contract of four years expired and decided against an extension.

The 25-year-old – who joined Medeama from the youth team of Asante Kotoko in 2017 – successfully passed a mandatory medical under the watch of the Phobians before signing the dotted lines on Friday.

Isaac Agyenim Boateng reportedly signed a five-year contract to officially become a Phobian and reunite with coach Samuel Boadu under whom he worked for most parts of his stint at Medeama.
