Accra Lions FC have loaned out duo Evans Etti and Abdul Rashid Abubakar to Chinese side Heilongjiang (HLJ) Ice City FC.
The two players were instrumental in the club’s historic promotion from Zone Three of the Division One League to the Ghana Premier League.
But Etti and Abubakar, per this transfer, will not be able to feature in their debut top-flight campaign in the 2021/22 season after sealing six-month loan agreements with the Chinese second-tier side effective July 30 till the end of January 2022.
Etti, 19, is a striker who notched 10 goals and 10 assists in 25 matches for Accra Lions in the just-ended Division One League.
Abubakar is also a 21-year-old central midfielder.
The Ghana duo could be available for HLJ Ice City FC when they visit MZ Hakka in the Chinese League One on Friday, August 6. The Harbin ICE Center Stadium outfit are currently 8th in the standings after 15 matches.
