Club Brugge in pole position to sign Kamal Sowah

Leicester City midfielder Kamal Sowah appears to be making a transfer to Belgium side Club Brugge in this summer transfer window.

The versatile Ghanaian will be making the move to the Belgium giants after impressing on loan at Oud-Heverlee Leuven in recent seasons.

Sowah signed with Leicester City in 2018 but was loaned out to Belgian sister club OH Leuven for the first two and half years.

After a strong 2020/21 season, scoring 8 goals in 34 matches, Sowah returned to Leicester for pre-season and hoped to be part of Brendan Rodgers’ first-team squad.

Club Brugge then made known their interest in Sowah but eventually failed to match Leicester’s asking price.

Now according to reports, an agreement is near and the transfer could be sealed before the end of the week.
