‘After 3 years, I feel tired’ – Kobina Amissah opens up on Gold Stars exit

Immediate-past Bibiani Gold Stars coach, Kobina Amissah, has finally revealed the reason behind his decision to call it quits with the Ghana Premier League (GPL) newbies.

The experienced gaffer, after helping the Bibiani side to gain a historic promotion to the topflight, resigned from his post 48 hours ago.

According to Amissah, he feels stressed and needed a break.

“If you work and feel tired at a point, you need to take a break, have been with Bibiani Gold Stars for three years – the number 12 exposé, Covid era and the just-ended season, so I think the stress is too much.

“When they asked me to send my Premier League plan to them, I thanked them and told them it’s okay, someone else should continue because if care is not taken I might soil my hard earned reputation because football is dynamic, their heart desire was to qualify for the Ghana Premier League and we have achieved it,” he told Connect 97.1 FM in an interview.

Kobina Amissah’s exit is the fourth from a team he has guided into the Ghana Premier League including Berekum Chelsea, Sekondi Hasaacas and Elmina Sharks.
