Women’s FA Cup final: Hasaacas Ladies target double

Hasaacas Ladies aim to complete a season double when they battle Ampem Darkoa Ladies in the final of the Women’s FA Cup on Saturday.

The Doo Ladies thumped Ampem Darkoaa Ladies 4-0 in the Champion of Champions last week to win the 2020/21 Women’s Premier League title.

The two are set to meet again in the Women’s FA Cup with Hasaacas Ladies head coach Yusif Basigi hoping to do double.

“We are not leaving any stone unturn, the intention is to go for double, we are using this as high-profile matches for our campaign in the upcoming Caf Women Champions League,” he said.

Despite defeating Ampem Darkoa Ladies in the last two finals, Basigi is still expecting more from his girls in Friday’s encounter.

“We have stepped up our training and the enthusiasm and the zeal is there.

“You can see that the girls are actually willing to perform and are doing exactly what I am expecting them to do.

“I know Ampem Darkoa will like to come for revenge and we will want to also repeat,” he added.

Both clubs are yet to win the FA Cup in their history despite being strong sides in Ghana’s women’s football.
