Sharks beat Legon Cities to push survival chase to season finale

Elmina Sharks put up a sumptuous second-half performance to beat Legon Cities Football Club at home in a game involving two sides battling relegation.

Despite failing to score in the first 45 minutes of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League match-day 33 clash, Sharks came in much stronger and took their chances to win all 3 points.

In-form Benjamin Bernard Boateng drew the first blood in the 79th minutes to bring the host into the lead.

James Bissue put the icing on the cake in the 92nd minute when he scored to complete Elmina Sharks’ comfortable win.

The Nduom Stadium outfit are currently lying 16th with 38 points and have to beat Asante Kotoko away to confirm survival on the final day of the season.

Legon Cities drop to 15th with 39 points and it’s all to play in their last game at home against Eleven Wonders.
