WAFA SC ace Augustine Boakye and Asante Kotoko talisman Fabio Gama are leading a quartet nominated for the Ghana Premier League NASCO Player of the Month award for June.
The duo scored twice and won two man-of-the-match awards for their clubs in the month that decided the league title race.
Ebusua Dwarfs midfielder Emmanuel Anaful and Benjamin Bernard Boateng of Elmina Sharks complete the list of the four players shortlisted for the award.
Boakye’s contribution helped WAFA close in on top-4 in June before eventually finishing third while Fabio Gama’s only loss in June to Hearts of Oak was what decided the title race.
Anaful couldn’t find the back of the net but his stellar displays in June won him two man-of-the-match awards.
Sharks striker Bernard Boateng netted twice and won one man-of-the-match award in his side’s one win, draw, and two defeats during June.
The winner will take home a 41’ inch NASCO television set and a plaque from sponsors of the award NASCO Electronics – with the announcement set for Friday, July 23, 2021.
