Aduana FC picked up their 13th win in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season by beating Dreams FC 2-0 on Sunday.
In-form winger Sam Adams and striker Bright Adjei scored in quick succession late in the first half to decide the match-day 31 fixture at Nana Agyeman Badu (NAB) I Stadium in Dormaa.
Adams opened the scoring with a firm strike in the 42nd minute after fellow winger Benjamin Tweneboah skipped past his markers and fed him with a pass.
The goal is Sam Adams’ 10th of the campaign.
Skipper Bright Adjei then ensured the Fire Club comfortably led 2-0 at the break by scoring just into the second minute of first-half stoppage time.
The second-half exchanges were tight but neither side was able to further produce a goal.
The 2-0 victory means Aduana FC – in 8th position – now narrow their gap with 5th-placed Dreams to a difference of two points. The Still Believers are on 48 points from 31 matches.
Aduana’s Benjamin Tweneboah won the NASCO man-of-the-match award.
