#FootyTransfers: Eugene Ansah signs three years with Hapoel Be’er Sheva

Israeli Premier League giants Hapoel Be’er Sheva FC have announced the signing of Ghana forward Eugene Ansah.

The 26-year-old enjoyed a successful 2020/21 campaign where he 10 goals and made three assists in 33 matches in a loan spell at Ironi Kiryat Shmona from Hapoel Raanana.

Ansah, who thrives as an attacker from the wings, was courted by the Uefa Europa Conference League campaigners at the end of the season and have now successfully secured his services in a three-year contract.

“I’m happy to sign at the club. I played in front of the audience as a guest player, and now I’m excited to wear the red uniform and get the crowd boost as a team player. I thank the professional team for trusting me,” Ansah is quoted by the club as saying after signing.

Club CEO, Attorney Guy Primor also noted: “We continue team building and preparations for the training camp. Today Eugene joins the family of Hapoel Be’er Sheva and will be an addition of strength to the faculty. I congratulate him and wish him great success in our ranks.”

Eugene Ansah has one senior cap for Ghana, coming through an international friendly against Mali in October 2020.
