Three players have been released from the camp of the Black Stars to join their respective clubs for the weekend’s round of games in the Ghana Premier League.
The players – Gladson Awako (Great Olympics), Ismail Abdul Ganiyu (Asante Kotoko) and Rashid Nortey of Medeama – have been in the senior national team camp all week preparing for the side’s international friendlies with Morocco and Cote d’Ivoire.
However, following requests from their clubs, head coach CK Akonnor has excused the trio who will now leave camp and won’t be part of the Black Stars contingent that will travel on Sunday to face the Atlas Lions in Rabat.
Ghana play guests to Morocco on Tuesday, June 8 before hosting Cote d’Ivoire four days later.
Awako, Ganiyu and Nortey are expected to join the Stars camp ahead of the clash with the Elephants.
