Eleven Wonders completed a season double over King Faisal with a 1-0 win on match-day 27 of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League Sunday afternoon.
Faisal were shaky in the opening stages at the Ohene Ameyaw Park in Techiman as Wonders, who were playing as the away side at their traditional home grounds, went offensive from start.
But the first half would end scoreless.
The feisty contest travelled to the 77th minute before Samuel Boakye – who had come off the bench 7 minutes earlier – broke the deadlock with what would go on to prove the match-winner for Wonders.
Victory for Wonders means they swap places with King Faisal and move to 14th with 30 points while the hosts take over the 16th position with 29 after 27 matches.
The 1-0 win also sees Wonders achieve a home and away GPL double over Faisal, having beaten them 2-1 on Valentine’s Day.
