Coach Mariano Barreto has made three changes to his match-day squad ahead of Thursday’s clash with Ebusua Dwarfs.
The Porcupine Warriors host the Crabs in a 2020/21 Ghana Premier League match-day 24 fixture at Len Clay Stadium.
Barreto has recalled captain Felix Annan who had to make way for Kwame Baah to deputize first-choice Razak Abalora – in what Footy-Ghana.com understands is a newly adopted three-game rotational policy for the number 2 spot.
New signing Solomon Sarfo Taylor is back in the mix after warming the bench against Legon Cities and then being left out of the squad for last Saturday’s home win over Dreams FC.
Midfielder Emmanuel Keyekeh, who had been sidelined by injury since match-day 5 on December 11, rejoined his mates a month ago and has proven fit enough to make Barreto’s 18.
The trio of Augustine Okrah, who could not return for the second half against Dreams due to injury, Godfred Asiamah (also injured) and Kwame Baah lost their places from Kotoko’s previous match.
Of the trio, it is Sarfo Taylor who looks most likely to get into the starting line-up for his debut with the Porcupines due to the absence of Okrah and Asiamah
Asante Kotoko are facing Dwarfs for the second time this season after travelling to beat the latter 1-0 at Cape Coast in the first round. They will look to complete a double over their visitors and maintain their spot at the top of the Ghana Premier League standings.
