Sarfo Taylor fit for Kotoko debut, named in squad for Legon Cities clash [+FULL LIST]

Solomon Sarfo Taylor is finally ready to make his first Asante Kotoko appearance as they face Legon Cities in a mouthwatering 2020/21 Ghana Premier League (GPL) match-day 22 clash at the Accra Sports Stadium Saturday night.

The forward – who joined the Porcupines in the second transfer window – has not been involved with the squad in their five games since his arrival due to match fitness and a subsequent training ground injury.

Sarfo Taylor resumed training the previous week and has now been passed fit enough to make his first appearance for the club.

The former Karela United forward is in contention for a spot in the starting eleven after head coach Mariano Barreto named him as well as midfielders Mudasiru Salifu and Richard Senanu as the changes to his travelling squad to Accra.

Mudasiru is back for Kotoko after having to sit out the 2-1 home defeat to Medeama SC due to yellow card accumulation.

Michael Vinicius, Naby Keita and Emmanuel Sarkodie are the players who have missed their spots from the last game.

Legon Cities – who lost 1-0 when the two sides met in the first round – host Asante Kotoko at 18:00 GMT on Saturday.

Kotoko squad:

Goalkeepers: Razak Abalora, Kwame Baah

Defenders: Christopher Nettey, Samuel Frimpong, Imoro Ibrahim, Patrick Asmah, Ismail Ganiyu, Yussif Mubarik, Habib Mohammed

Midfielders: Richard Senanu, Mudasiru Salifu, Kwame Adom Frimpong, Fabio Gama, Emmanuel Gyamfi, Godfred Asiamah
