Raddy Ovouka finally available for Hearts after work permit renewal

Hearts of Oak defender Raddy Ovouka is now available for selection following the renewal of his work permit.

The Congo international has missed all three games of the Phobians in the second round of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League (GPL) due to the expiration of his permit a couple of weeks ago.

Ovouka’s continued absence from recent games led to grumbles among club faithful until the reason was made public before the kickoff of last Sunday’s victory over Inter Allies.

The club’s Chief Operating Officer Alexander William Coleman subsequently lost his job on the grounds of negligence.

However, the left-back’s documentation has now been sorted and can be used by head coach Samuel Boadu when Hearts face Karela United in their match-day 21 visit to CAM Park on Sunday.

Raddy Ovouka featured in all Hearts of Oak’s 17 matches in the first round of the ongoing campaign and scored once.
