Medeama were disciplined, tactical and superior to Kotoko – Yaw Preko

Medeama SC head coach, Yaw Preko is full of praise after his side beat Asante Kotoko 2-1 at Obuasi on Saturday.

The Yellow and Mauves conceded from Emmanuel Gyamfi’s header early in the game for Kotoko.

But Prince Opoku Agyemang and Richard Boadu all scored in the first half to complete the comeback.

The triumph places Medeama top of the Ghana Premier League as they await other match-day 21 fixtures Sunday.

Speaking to reporters at the post-match interview, Preko commended his side for their discipline and superior.

“We have absolute respect for Kotoko and the quality they showed today. However, we brought our A-game to bear and that showed in the final analysis.

“Our plan was executed to perfection. My players were disciplined, tactical and superior for better parts. We return to Tarkwa to reboot for our next match.

“We are staying grounded and not getting ahead of ourselves. We celebrate briefly and return to the drawing board to prepare for our next game.”

Up next for Medeama is a home encounter with Ebusua Dwarfs.
