#GPLwk20: Sarkodie, Senanu back in Kotoko squad travelling to face Olympics

Midfield duo Emmanuel Sarkodie and Richard Senanu have been included in Asante Kotoko’s 19-man travelling squad for Friday’s 2020/21 Ghana Premier League match-day 20 clash away to Great Olympics in Accra.

The Porcupine Warriors displaced their opponents from the top of the league standings last weekend and will be looking to pick up maximum points to not only cement the spot but also avenge the home defeat handed them when they first met earlier in December.

Coach Mariano Barreto is without in-form playmaker Fabio Gama who is suspended after receiving his third yellow card this season in the 2-0 victory over Berekum Chelsea last Sunday.

Gama is suspended for Kotoko

Sarkodie returns to the Kotoko squad for the first time since March 10 when he warmed the bench in the outstanding league match against King Faisal. He was kept on the sidelines by injury.

Senanu has been recalled as an option for the match-day 20 trip after being left out for the victory over Berekum Chelsea. The defensive midfielder – who has fully recovered from an ACL injury that kept him out for nearly two years – made his Kotoko match-day sqaud for the first time this season against Bechem United,

Friday’s clash with Great Olympics is scheduled for 15:00 GMT at the Accra Sports Stadium.
