New Hearts of Oak coach, Samuel Boadu has doused any flames of immediate title talk following his 100 percent start with the Phobians.
The young trainer has enjoyed back-to-back wins – against WAFA SC and Aduana FC – since taking over the reins of the technical team.
Hearts have also recorded clean sheets in both games while scoring six.
But Boadu won’t buy pressure for himself and his players with the club’s standard title ambitions.
He insists the focus is on winning matches as they come.
“Tactically, we have a lot of work to do.
“The players are now coping with my system and philosophy. When they are used to it, things will change.
“Winning one game after the other is our main goal. We are not thinking about winning the league but winning the next game
“We are thinking of working on the technique and tactics of the players at the moment.
“The plan is to take it game by game and not concentrate on the league title now. The moment we are winning our matches things will change on the league title,” Boadu stated after guiding Hearts to beat Aduana on Sunday.
On 30 points, Hearts of Oak are currently third – three points behind leaders Karela United – after 18 matches in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League (GPL). They are chasing a first league title since 2009.
