Algerian giants, Mouloudia Club d’Alger are finally closing in on the signing of Joseph Esso after Dreams FC confirmed that the striker is on the verge of leaving the club.
The two clubs have been in talks over the transfer for over two weeks now and the Ghana Premier League outfit, today, says the move is subject to “a mandatory medical and finalization of all paperwork.”
“Following an initial request and subsequent negotiations, Dreams Football Club has agreed in principle to the transfer of player Joseph Esso to Mouloudia Club d’Alger.
“Esso will thus complete the transfer to the Algerian club subject to passing a mandatory medical and finalization of all paperwork,” read a club statement.
MC Alger – the 7-time Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 champions – have already agreed terms over a three-year contract with the 24-year-old.
Esso joined Dreams FC as a free agent from Hearts of Oak in August 2020 and now looks set to leave just 7 months into his two-year contract.
He scored 11 goals in 18 appearances for the Believers.
Joseph Esso’s transfer to MC Alger, will see him become the third Ghana Premier League striker – after Daniel Lomotey and Kwame Opoku – to switch to Algeria this season.
