Liberty win at Len Clay to compound AshantiGold misery

It’s now five games without a victory for AshantiGold after suffering to a shock 1-0 defeat to Liberty Professionals on match-day thirteen of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.

The Miners fell to a 39th minute effort by Kwame Karikari at the Len Clay Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

AshantiGold could not break the Liberty defence after conceding till half time.

In the second half, David Ocloo’s side contained the home side enough despite the several attacking moves from underfire coach Milovan Cirkovic’s side.

Up front, Isaac Opoku Agyemang and Yaw Annor faced strong defence and superb goalkeeping from Kofi Baah.

The 1-0 result returns Liberty to winning ways and up to 15th place on 14 points after going five games without a victory.

They play Inter Allies next on match-day fourteen.

AshantiGold, on the other hand, travel to Sogakope to play wounded WAFA.
