Hans Kwofie strikes first Legon Cities goal in 1-1 draw at Bechem

Legon Cities picked a vital away point after drawing1-1 against Bechem United at Fosu Gyeabour Park on match-day fifteen of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.

Moro Salifu gave the Hunters the lead in the first half from the penalty spot but debutant Hans Kwofie levelled.

Bechem missed some glaring chances early in the game but Salifu found the goal in additional time after defender Nicholas Mensah handled the ball in the 18-yard box.

Legon Cities returned stronger in the second half and on the 55th minute, new signing Kwofie showed the quality he brings to the Royals fold.

Kwofie’s right-foot strike that urged Cities in picking a point will still linger in the minds of Bechem United who were looking to return to winning ways.

The Hunters lost 2-0 away against Medeama. Their next game is against Asante Kotoko.

The stalemate places them on sixth on the league log while Legon Cities have the 15th spot.

The Accra outfit, who have now drawn in their last four matches will play Elmina Sharks at home.
