Ghana duo Francis Amuzu and Dauda Mohammed scored in either half as RSC Anderlecht secured a 3-1 derby win at Standard Liege in the 2020/21 Belgian Jupiler Pro League Sunday afternoon.
It was Amuzu the 21-year-old winger – who netted the opening goal – his second this season – in the 23rd minute.
Anderlecht took firm control of the match-day 29 encounter when Kamer Lawrence doubled the lead in the 71st minute.
Selim Amallah halved the deficit for Standard Liege 7 minutes from time.
But Dauda – the former Asante Kotoko striker – after coming on for Abdoulay Diaby on the hour mark – restored the two-goal cushioning by finishing off an assist by Amuzu for his first goal of the season in the 4th minute of additional time.
Meanwhile, on-loan Ghana midfielder Majeed Ashimeru could not make the match-day squad for Anderlecht.
RSC Anderlecht find themselves in 5th position with 45 points from 29 matches this season.
