King Faisal stun Berekum Chelsea to win 4-3, after going 3-0 down

King Faisal staged what looked an impossible comeback to beat Berekum Chelsea in a seven-goal thriller on match-day 11 of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League (GPL).

The ‘Insha Allah’ boys stormed back from three goals down to win 4-3 at their adopted Ohene Ameyaw Park Saturday afternoon.

The Bibires masterfully led 3-0 within 18 minutes.

Paul Attah Agyei netted a brace in the 10th and 18th minutes with captain Stephen Amankona scoring in between from close range on 14 minutes.

Faisal looked down but coach Andy Sinason’s men were certainly not out as skipper Kwame Peprah managed to pull one back with a penalty after the ball struck the hand of Berekum Chelsea’s Ushau Abu in his own area.

The hosts showed improvement in the second half and hit back again to further reduce the deficit to 3-2 through a sensational Frimpong Boateng drive from distance in the 56th minute.

Peprah then levelled things to 3-3 in the 79th minute and before completing his hat-trick with the match-winner for King Faisal with a finish from close range just a minute from time.

The victory is only the second for King Faisal who now go on 10 points from 11 games.
