I’m just looking for Black Stars chance – Paintsil

Winger Seth Paintsil is hopeful of realising his dreams of representing Ghana at the senior level and playing in England.

The 24-year-old currently plies his trade with Austrian Bundesliga side SV Ried.

In a chat with Footy-Ghana.com’s Adamu Muftawu, the attacker who, was part of the BA United squad that qualified for the 2007/08 Ghana Premier League, talked about his national team ambitions.

“I think it will be really nice for me. I am just waiting for this moment to happen you know what I mean and then we take it from there.

“I had a lot of offers from England and since you don’t play for the national team, you are not supposed to play there.

“I’m just looking for the chance to play for the national team and from there maybe there will be a chance to play in England. That is my dream, to play in the Champions League with one of the best teams in England.

“I’m just looking forward to play for the national team,” he stated.

Seth Paintsil played 10 games with two assists and a goal for his side in the first round.

He  joined Finnish side, FF Jaro in the 2014/15 season before he was snapped up by Admira Wacker of Austria. He signed for fellow Austrian club, SV Ried as a free agent for the 2020/21 league season.
