UEL: Elvis Manu scores in Ludogorets elimination

Ghana striker Elvis Manu was on the score sheet but Ludogorets failed to progress to the knockout stage of the 2020/21 Uefa Europa League.

The Bulgarian champions were beaten 3-1 at home – the Huvepharma Arena by LASK Linz in the last group J game on Thursday.

LASK had the chance to go in front but Thomas Goiginger wasted a penalty just on the half time mark.

The second half saw Elvis Manu shoot Ludogorets ahead in the 46th minute.

The visitors, bent on finishing on the high, came back into the game with Philip Wiesinger drawing level in the 56th minute.

The 62nd minute offered an opportunity for LASK to lead the game which Rene Renner did by slotting home from the penalty spot.

The Austrian side left no stone unturned with their third goal coming from Mads Emil Madsen in the 67th minute.

Ludogorets finished bottom of Group J with no points after six matches.
