No pressure: Olympics vs Kotoko just a normal league game – Awako

Great Olympics midfielder, Gladson Awako has doused any form of pressure as they face Asante Kotoko in a 2020/21 Ghana Premier League (GPL) match-day 3 outstanding fixture on Thursday.

The Dade boys come into the Kotoko game after a 2-0 defeat to Liberty Professionals on match-day five at the Carl Reindorf Park.

Playing Kotoko is probably their biggest test this season but Awako sees the game as just one of the league fixtures.

“Our defeat to Liberty [on match-day five] is going to make Kotoko feel a little bit on top. But I don’t think it is going to weigh us down at all.

“We played well against Liberty and that should boost us in or next game against Kotoko,” Awako told Adamu Muftawu.

“I don’t think there is pressure on us because we are just going to face them [Kotoko] as one of our league games.

“It is going to be a normal game so I don’t think there will be any pressure on us,” he added.

Great Olympics have 4 points in 14th position having won a game, drawn one and lost one in three matches.
