Maxwell Konadu sacking by Kotoko was unfair – Eleven Wonders coach

Eleven Wonders coach Ignatius Osei Fosu says the sacking of Maxwell Konadu from Asante Kotoko was unfair in football terms.

The young gaffer, speaking on Pure FM, believes it was too early to dismiss Konadu who led the team from the start of the league.

The former national team coach began the campaign with a draws against Wonders and Chelsea before grabbing a 1-0 win against Legon Cities.

But the 1-0 loss to Great Olympics was the cause of his sack by the Kotoko management.

“From a football perspective, sacking Maxwell Konadu was an unfair decision by the management.

“Maxwell was a slow starter even when Kotoko won the league. He nearly won at Berekum only for that last minute freekick, a ground that they don’t win.

“The team also looks new compared to that of last season.”

Kotoko returned to winning ways with a 1-0 triumph at Dreams on Sunday and will play Al Hilal in the Caf Champions League Wednesday.
