It is early days to write off Liberty – Ansong

Liberty Professionals captain, George William Ansong is not giving up on the club’s chances of coming out of their struggles.

The Scientific Soccer Lads have just three points from four matches in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League. – three drawn games and a defeat.

Ansong harbours hopes the club will get on track as the season grows.

“Sure, Liberty is going to come back to the winning ways.

“This is the situation we find ourselves in now and it’s good it’s very early.

“We’ve noticed our mistakes and noticed whatever is wrong with the team. So we are just going to work to change whatever thing we are doing that we are not doing well. I expect much more from Liberty,

“Liberty is going to come back so much stronger to win most of the games and if possible all of the games hopefully,” he told Adamu Muftawu.

Despite currently placing 12th on the league table, the captain is eying a top-seven finish at the end of the season.

“Where Liberty is going to finish I think you guys should expect from first to sixth or seventh position.

“This is where we have our target to be. Ranking from first to the seventh hopefully with God’s help, Liberty should be in one of those positions,” Ansong added.

Liberty will next play Great Olympics on match-day five at Carl Reindorf Park on Sunday, December 13.
